Dinocide is now registered in 32 states (see below) and is expected to do a great job on any new scales emerging as well as many other labeled insects. On August 8, 2016, Mauget had completed a research study trial on Black Scale where the results were impressive.
Mauget is currently examining data to determine 2nd year residual control and suppression of this damaging scale.
Dinotefuran (aka safari), is the active ingredient in Dinocide. Dinotefuran is a translaminar which means it can pass from a tree’s xylem (the layer in a tree that circulates water from the roots) to its phloem (the tree layer nearest the bark which transports sugars from the plant’s leaves). This capability makes DINOCIDE uniquely effective against many other pests like certain boring insects which do their damage in the phloem layer.
