Alert… Insect Pests Butchering New England’s Forests

In the towering forests of centuries-old Eastern Hemlocks, it’s easy to miss one of the tree’s nemeses. No larger than a speck of pepper, the Hemlock Woolly Adelgid spends its life on the underside of needles sucking sap, eventually killing the tree.
This insect is one in an expanding army of insects draining the life out of forests from New England to the West Coast. Aided by global trade, a warming climate and drought-weakened trees, the invaders have become one of the greatest threats to biodiversity in the United States.

Dinocide Hp Liquid Loadable bottles have now been accepted and registered in 4 States, Indiana, Mich., Mass. and Tennessee.

The acceptace of this newest Mauget fast acting insecticide is very exciting. DINOCIDE is the first and only Dinotefuran insecticide available for tree injection.

DINOCIDE is a CAUTION labeled, closed-system insecticide containing 12% dinotefuran, a translaminar, its active ingredients can pass from a tree’s xylem (the layer in a tree that circulates water from the roots) to its phloem (the tree layer nearest the bark which transports sugars from the plant’s leaves). This capability makes DINOCIDE uniquely effective against pests like Conifer Bark Beetles which do their damage in the phloem layer insecticide for use on forests, parks, and ornamental trees. DINOCIDE can yield results in as little as three (3) days.).

Mauget has the largest product line for treeinjections and suppresses more tree insects, tree diseases, tree defieciencies then any other company producing tree injection products.
